A 2 Hour Drive to the Old Country Buffet

Yesterday, I sat in a car for about 2 hours to get to an Old Country Buffet. I know you think I’m crazy. But trust me, it wasn’t the smorgasbord of fried chicken next to spaghetti next to General Tso’s chicken next to fried okra that lured me to the restaraunt. The Old Country Buffet in Wyomissing, PA is where the 4C churches of Eastern PA get together for a fellowship gathering. Despite the distance, and the fact that we passed an Outback on the way, I’m glad I went. I got to meet a great group of men and women that loved the Lord. I also got to share about 7 Mile Road and the work that God has begun in Philadelphia over the last 5 months. The folks there heard me out and were excited for us. One 4C church has already graciously agreed to support us next year, and yesterday, another 2 talked with me about possibly doing the same. Plus, I got to ride there and back with some local pastors which was fun.  So all in all, it was well worth it. I just gotta see if I can convince them to meet at Outback instead.
