7MR is devoting this week in a special way to seeking God in prayer. Here’s what that will look like for us.
monday :: thanksgiving
Give God thanks for His blessings in your life; for the Gospel and His grace; for this season with 7MR, for members on the Launch Team, and for all that the Spirit brings to remembrance.
tuesday :: philadelphia
Intercede for this city that God has placed you in. Ask God to give you a love for this city. Crime, poverty, poor education, broken families, are among the many problems that plague our city. Ask for God’s peace and restoration. Pray for our leaders. Ask that this might be a city of brotherly love.
wednesday :: salvation of sinners
Intercede for the people of Philadelphia who have not come to faith in Jesus. Pray for people in your life by name. Ask God to pour out His grace and cause them to see Christ. Ask God to open doors for 7MR to build meaningful relationships with people who don’t know Jesus.
thursday :: fasting & 7 mile road
Those who are able are invited to fast throughout the day. Seek God for 7MR. Ask Him to provide us with wisdom and direction for 2009, money, a space to worship, servants who can lead ministries, spiritual and numerical growth. Praise God for the folks who are a part of 7MR. Pray for them by name and pray that God would cause us to be united in Christ. We will break fast together by sharing a meal after Thursday night prayer.
friday :: other churches
Pray for other pastors and churches in Philadelphia. Pray for the other CCCC and Acts 29 churches in our area. Pray for repentance, renewal, and revival to visit Indian churches in our city. Pray that there would be a strong Gospel witness through the body of Christ in Philadelphia. Pray that God would cause a national movement of church plants through the planting of 7MR.
saturday :: silence
Set apart some time to sit in silence before the Lord and hear from Him.
Psalm 46:10; Luke 5:16
sunday :: corporate prayer
We will spend our time together on Sunday Night to pray corporately, seeking the Lord for our city and our church in 2009.
