How do you communicate something infinite with something finite? How can infinite God be understood, even in part, by finite man? This is one of the difficult tasks of the Scriptures. Therefore, one of the methods that the Bible employs is to use metaphors. In the Apostle John's first epistle, he describes God as light. Today we consider what it means to describe God as light. What does that mean about Him? What does that mean about us? And how do the two collide?
