“Slavery was abolished 150 years ago, right? While it is true that slavery is illegal almost everywhere on earth, the fact is there are more slaves today than there ever were…” Robert Alan, American Author

Set Beautiful Free

Today nearly 27 million people are enslaved through human trafficking. Victims, the majority of whom are females, are forced, defrauded, or coerced into labor or sexual exploitation. It is estimated that human trafficking generates around $32 billion annually making it the second most lucrative crime in the world. Two children are sold into this evil every minute.

Kamathipura, the Red Light District of Bombay, is a microcosm of the rising global phenomenon of sexual slavery. Here, thousands of victims are trapped in brothels in the bondage of forced prostitution. Girls are ‘broken in’ like animals and locked in tiny dark cells for many years, the doors opening only to those who perpetrate this evil.

Seven Mile Road is teaming up with the work of Bombay Teen Challenge to fight sexual slavery. Bombay Teen Challenge is an organization that has been working in the Red Light District for decades and is committed to rescuing victims, restoring lives, and stopping sexual slavery. By raising awareness, introducing people to the work of Bombay Teen Challenge, volunteering, and raising money, we are helping set beautiful free.

Together, with your help, we can abolish the horror of modern day slavery. To learn how you can help click here.
