Seven Mile Road, we’re having a Baptism Class onTuesday, July 3 at 7pm in our Community Room. If you’re planning to attend or if you can help with childcare for the night, please let us know.
What is baptism?
Baptism is a symbol that Jesus gave His followers which illustrates the glorious truths of the gospel. Believers are submerged in water, identifying with the death and burial of Christ. Then they are lifted up out of the water, identifying with the resurrection and new life that we have in Christ. In baptism, we embrace the truth that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, rose again and in Him we have died to our old way of life, our sins are washed away, and now we have new and eternal life.
Who can attend the class?
Anyone. If you’re interested in being baptized, or have questions about baptism, or just want to listen in and learn more, this class is for you and you are welcome to come.
Um…what if I was baptized as a baby?
I’d encourage you to join us for the class. It will give you an opportunity and a safe environment to ask questions that you’re thinking about when it comes to baptism.
Um…what if I was baptized but I’m not really sure if I was a believer at the time?
Same as above. Join us for the class.
When will Seven Mile Road be celebrating baptisms?
Sunday, July 22. We’ll have more information for you, but save the date since Baptism Sundays are some of our best Sundays of the year!
