On Sunday, we preached the Biblical doctrine of expiation – that Christ was crucified to cleanse us from our filth, purge us from our defilement, and heal us from our shame. Here’s a video from a pastor from Mars Hill Church who explains how the Cross deals with our past and our shame. Towards the end, he makes a wonderful point about the wounds or “holes” in the body of the Resurrected Jesus. Listen and consider, are the wounds in our lives reminders of shame or reminders of the power of the Cross?
