Last Saturday, we hosted a Free Financial Stewardship Seminar. It was excellent. Jake and Fred did an outstanding job presenting us with a ton of Biblical instruction and practical help in regards to finances. That’s not empty flattery. They really were great. Dennis, as always, is the Michael Jordan of administration. And Brett humbly works behind the scenes making sure every detail is taken care of without seeking a spotlight. I am so grateful for all four of these men and all the hard work they put into pulling off an excellent event.
My prayer is that their labor would have practical, tangible impact for generations to come. Picture that. If someone left the room motivated to get out of debt, or budget better, or invest wisely, or give generously, any one of those things could have massive ripple effects. Imagine someone who heard Proverbs 13:22 (“A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children”) at the seminar took it to heart. That would mean that children yet unborn would be blessed because grandpa and grandma spent a few hours on a Saturday at a seminar. That’s the kind of fruit I’ve prayed for. Lord, hear my prayer.
