Though the water level in flood-hit Kerala has begun to recede, the rebuilding process for this state could take years to complete. The flood, the worst Kerala has seen in a century, has displaced millions of people and caused billions of dollars worth of damage. Even friends and relatives of our own Seven Mile Road family have experienced the destruction of this storm.
Many have asked how they can provide help. Here is a guide on some ways you can contribute:

Clothing & Cleaning Supplies

We are collecting donations of Indian clothes (e.g. salwars, sarees, lungis, etc.), children’s clothing, and cleaning supplies (e.g. bleach, disinfectant wipes, and soap). A bin can be found in the church lobby, where donations can be dropped off. These donations will be shipped to Kerala and distributed to those in need.

CM’s Distress Relief Fund

Monetary contributions can be made directly to the Kerala Government through the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund. Contributions can be made online using this link. Donations are calculated in Indian currency (rupee), so feel free to use this tool to determine conversion.

Clothing & Supplies through Amazon

Amazon is working with implementation partners and state/national disaster coordination committees to support those affected by the flood. You can donate clothing and supplies to victims using this link or this linkDonations are calculated in Indian currency (rupee), so feel free to use this tool to determine conversion.

World Vision’s Relief Efforts

World Vision is set to provide emergency shelter, clean water, and hygiene support to thousands of flood victims. You can donate online using this link.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity India is raising money through India’s crowdfunding site, Ketto. The organization will provide humanitarian aid kits, shelter kits, and assist with home repairs and renovations. Donations can be made using this link.
