If you trust in Jesus and believe what’s said of God in the Bible, STOP for a moment.
Stop and think about all the incredible truths of who he is…
That He alone is sovereign over all things – all the seen and unseen details of the world and your very life.
That He is greater than any earthly king or ruler – none can thwart him and none can compare to him.
That He alone is immortal – he has been for eternity past and will remain forever.
That He dwells in unapproachable light – his glory and brilliance are too wonderful for our eyes.
I hope you both tremble with fear and leap for joy as you consider these things.
Because this magnificent and wholly other God has graciously met us by way of His Son, Jesus.
This week as we consider 1 Timothy 6:11-16, we’ll hear Paul tell Timothy to be different than the false teachers, by pursuing holiness and keeping the commandment unstained. As Paul instructs Timothy, we’ll get to see him quickly transition from instruction to doxology, because for Paul, the praise of God is inevitable as he thinks and speaks of Him.
Here’s what we’re singing…
All Creatures
Man of Sorrows
You’re Beautiful
How Great Thou Art
After All
See you Sunday!
