To my wife’s delight and my disappointment, summer is almost done. Shainu doesn’t hate the summer, she just loves the fall. I don’t hate the fall, I just love the summer. Anyway, as we get ready to jump into a new season, here’s a recap of three great days in the life of Seven Mile Road from the Summer of 2011.
Baptisms: We had our first ever round of baptisms this summer. In total, eight folks from Seven Mile got baptized, and six of them on a perfect summer day in the Deleware River at Neshaminy State Park. One of our people summarized the day perfectly when they said, “We’ve had a lot of good days at our church – like when we got our building for free, etc. But this is the best day we’ve ever had.” Get a feel for why we loved this day from these pictures and the video below.
